MSNBC Panelists Go Violent… Wallace Says She’s Tempted To Wring Sanders’ Neck

“Deadline: White house” host Nicolle Wallace compared White House press briefings to propaganda in Saddam Hussein’s Iraq during her show. She also suggested that White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders should be choked for allegedly dodging questions about a report that a White House staffer made disparaging remarks about Sen. John McCain’s (R-AZ) health.

Wallace and MSNBC panelists agreed Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders did not satisfactorily answer questions about an aide’s joke about Sen. John McCain’s health. NBC News reporter Kristen Welker asked whether President Trump bears responsibility for the comment that came from aide Kelly Sadler, but Sanders declined to elaborate and Wallace was incensed.

From the New York Times: “I’m not going to validate a leak one way or the other out of an internal staff meeting,” Sanders said. Asked why she would not simply apologize to McCain, she said, “I’m not going to get into a back and forth because, you know, people want to create issues of leaked staff meetings.”

“How do you resist the temptation to run up and wring her neck? Why can’t she just say, ‘If a staffer said that, we’re going to get to the bottom of it and she’ll be fired?’” Wallace asked NBC White House reporter Kristen Welker. Wallace would later try and walk that statement back. On Twitter, she called her remarks “poorly chosen words” for which she is “sorry.” Whether she’s apologetic for her sentiment is unclear.

“I don’t know the difference anymore between Baghdad Bob and Sarah Sanders,” Wallace said, referring to Mohammed Saeed al-Sahhaf, the former Iraqi information minister. Al-Sahhaf gained notoriety during the invasion of Iraq in 2003 when he assured people that Iraqi forces were winning the war. Analyst John Heilemann also said the same outrageous thing. Then he commended White House reporters’ valor in dealing with the “horror show” of White House briefings.

“They do valiant work every day trying to get some semblance of truth or to at least expose the hypocrisy and lies, the Baghdad Bob-ness of it from the podium,” he said about White House reporters. “They have more fortitude than I have. I would slit my throat after two of those briefings if I had to sit in that room every day,” he added. Do tell.

Former Republican campaign manager and MSNBC analyst Steve Schmidt chimed in and claimed that Sanders actually compares unfavorably to al-Sahhaf because she is Trump’s “accomplice.” “I’ll tell you the difference between Sarah Sanders and Baghdad Bob. If Baghdad Bob didn’t say what Saddam Hussein wanted him to say, Baghdad Bob would have been shot,” Schmidt said. “Sarah Sanders is lying of her own volition, she stands up there a willful participant. Baghdad Bob was a hostage. Sarah Sanders is an accomplice.” That’s a Republican saying that, y’all.

Schmidt wasn’t through either. He went on to argue that the whole White House political operation was serving a “debased administration” and was happy with “hurting America” just to exploit their power. And I’m sure that you will be shocked to find out that both Wallace and Schmidt worked for McCain’s presidential campaign in 2008. Schmidt was a top campaign strategist, while Wallace was a senior adviser, although she admitted later that she did not even vote for him. She also smeared Sarah Palin at every opportunity.

Reports say Sadler joked in a private meeting that the White House did not need to worry about McCain opposing Trump’s nominee to head the CIA, Gina Haspel, because the senator is close to dying. McCain has terminal brain cancer. She called McCain’s wife to apologize and it did not go well. Meghan McCain called for her to be fired on The View as well.

Sounds to me as if the media is ramping up calls for violence against Trump officials. Anti-Trump Republican Rick Wilson, who is a frequent guest on the network, threatened in January to “gut” a fellow pro-Trump panelist “like a fish” after the panelist defended Trump’s infamous “s***hole” comment. “John, I will gut you like a fish on this show, if you want to keep this up,” Wilson said during the interview. “You don’t have a substantive argument, your argument is based entirely on the fact that these people are brown!”

April Ryan, a CNN analyst, joked about getting into a street brawl with Sanders last week after the Press Secretary told Ryan “you actually don’t know much about me” during a press briefing. They are unhinged when it comes to Sanders. Ryan insisted that Sanders’ remark constituted fighting words, arguing on CNN, “in certain quarters in this nation that starts a physical fight.” She continued her attack on her Twitter account in a back and forth with the former mayor of Baltimore, as both women suggested they throw down with Sanders. “I already took my earrings off and Vaseline in my purse,” Stephanie Rawlings-Blake wrote, as Ryan replied, “That is what I’m talking about! Take off that pretty ring to fornthe [sic] street fight. Lol.”

Classy bunch there. MSNBC has got it going on in the violence department. As Trump works to “Make America Great Again,” they can choke on it.
