Charlize Theron Considers Leaving The US: ‘Racism Is Much More Alive and Well’

South African actress Charlize Theron has stated that she is seriously considering taking her adopted children and leaving the United States because of a perceived increase in racism under the Trump administration. She seems blind to the apartheid her country was involved in or the current killing of white farmers there.

“I don’t even know how to talk about the last year under our new administration,” Theron said in an interview for Elle conducted by the comedian Chelsea Handler, who is also rabidly anti-Trump. “But racism is much more alive and well than people thought. We can’t deny it anymore. We have to be vocal.”

Charlize was born and raised in South Africa. She went on to claim that she fears for the safety of her adopted children, both of whom are African-American. “There are places in this country where, if I got a job, I wouldn’t take it. I wouldn’t travel with my kids to some parts of America, and that’s really problematic,” she said. “There are a lot of times when I look at my kids and I’m like, if this continues, I might have to [leave America]. Because the last thing I want is for my children to feel unsafe,” she continued. “But they’re going to have to know that it’s a different climate for them than it is for me, and how unfair that is.” “Building confidence for them right now is an oath I made to myself when I brought them home,” she told Handler.

Charlize is now 42 and some of her major roles include The Italian Job, Hancock and Mad Max: Fury Road. I first saw her in the Devil’s Advocate with Keanu Reeves in 1997. Her latest is Atomic Blonde. She is a well known uber-liberal celebrity.

Last month, she sounded off over gun rights, describing it as “outrageous” to even discuss allowing school teachers to bear arms to protect themselves and their students. She is very anti-gun. “I have a very personal experience with gun violence. I lost my father to gun violence,” she said. “I just don’t understand when people try to make the conversation, the argument that the fix is more guns. It is so outrageous to me.” In 1991, Theron’s mother shot and killed her father after he physically attacked her while he was intoxicated. Her mother, who is now helping Theron raise her children, was found to have acted in self-defense. That is cause to be pro-gun, not anti-gun.

“Let’s listen to our kids,” Theron said of the Parkland protesters. “I don’t think any one of those kids said that was the solution and I am going with the kids on this one.” “They’re the ones coming up with the solution and I think for the first time the conversation is actually being heard in a way that we’ve never heard it before and I hope politicians are hearing that conversation,” the actress said, adding: “I think it is our duty to stand behind them.”

Other celebrities including Miley Cyrus, Samuel L. Jackson and Barbara Streisand threatened to leave the United States under the Trump administration, although few if any appear to have carried through on their threat. It is certainly unlikely that Theron would return to South Africa in its current political state. She appears to be engaging in over-dramatic virtue-signaling here.

The former model and mother of two adopted children, six year-old Jackson and two year-old August, justified her stance because she was born in South Africa. “Being raised during the apartheid era in South Africa made me so hyperaware of equality and human rights,” the actress said. “Of course, I have two black kids, but that was always something I was passionate about.”

Charlize is an Oscar winner and lives a wealthy, privileged life in Hollywood. She doesn’t just blame President Trump, she blames America itself for racism. Which is ironic considering where she comes from. “South Africa is notorious for its high crime rate, a reflection of its economic inequality and racial tension,” CNBC reported. A report by Statistics South Africa revealed that only 30 percent of South Africans feel safe walking at night. But Theron blasts the US for racism, which she claims is more “alive and well” here than people know.

The US is the least racist country on the face of the earth. This appears to be more Hollywood ‘group think’.
