Barack Obama Is ‘Most Admired Man’ for 10th Year in a Row According To Gallup

Former President Barack Obama has won the title of ‘Most Admired Man’ in America for the tenth year in a row according to Gallup. Hillary Clinton won ‘Most Admired Woman’. The Gallup poll was released yesterday. The Gallup poll has been conducted every year since 1946. Each year they ask a selection of men and women who their most admired man and woman are. Just for the record, I don’t buy this. It can’t possibly be correct from everything I’ve seen out there. The poll is skewed and evidently has been for years. The sampling must be tainted and I no longer have any faith in Gallup anymore.

Barack Obama took the top slot with 17 percent of the vote. President Trump got 14 percent and was runner-up. Pope Francis followed them both with three percent of the vote. There are two Marxists in the top three. God help us if this is even remotely true. Billy Graham came in fourth with two percent of the vote. I find that hard to swallow as well.

Both President Trump and Pope Francis have made the Gallup list before. Neither has taken the top slot in the poll. And continuing the liberal and progressive bias here, the Gallup poll also mentioned other political, business and religious leaders, including Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, the Dalai Lama and Tesla CEO Elon Musk. Musk and Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos appeared on the list for the first time. There’s not a conservative other than Billy Graham and Trump on that list.

The fact that Hilly Clinton is supposedly the most admired woman in America is a disgusting joke. The fact that she has held that title from Gallup for 16 years consecutively also shows that Gallup cannot be trusted. She’s held the title 22 times in total, more than any other person. The only man who has earned the distinction more times than Obama is former President Dwight Eisenhower, who was named the most admired man 12 times.

They are obviously liberally biased in the extreme. Gallup says that Clinton many not hold on to this title in the future because her polling numbers were at the lowest they have been in 15 years. They note those numbers are unlikely to improve because her political career is over. Plus, she may drop dead. Just a thought. “She managed to win this year because she remains arguably more prominent than other contenders,” Gallup said. “However, retaining that stature may be more challenging in coming years with her political career likely over.”

Grab your barf bags because Michelle Obama took the runner-up slot with seven percent of the vote. Almost as bad as that is the fact that Oprah Winfrey took third place with four percent. SMH. I just simply do not believe any of this. First Lady Melania Trump, Queen Elizabeth II, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Beyoncé Knowles and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley all made the list of admired women.

The polling group has asked Americans about their choice for most admired man 71 times since 1946 ― every year except 1976. The incumbent president has won 58 of those times. The incumbent presidents who did not place first included Harry Truman in 1946-1947 and 1950-1952, Lyndon Johnson in 1967-1968, Richard Nixon in 1973, Gerald Ford in 1974-1975, Jimmy Carter in 1980 and George W. Bush in 2008. “All but Truman in 1947 and Ford in 1974 had job approval ratings well below 50%, like Trump,” Gallup notes.

Gallup surveyed 1,049 adults from December 4–11 by telephone with a four percent margin of error. That is a small number and they don’t tell you many of the factors involved in the survey. They spoke to people aged 18 and older, living in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. A four percent margin error here is laughable. To drive my point home… a quarter of respondents did not name a man or a woman they admired most. What does that tell you? It tells me that Gallup is full of crap, just as I suspected. About a tenth of respondents named a relative or friend.

Last year, Obama topped the list with 22 percent, while Trump garnered 15 percent. The 2017 results fell along party lines, with 35 percent of Republicans naming Trump as their most admired and only 1 percent naming Obama. Among Democrats, 39 percent named Obama, and 3 percent picked Trump. Independents picked Obama over Trump for their most admired by a 3-point margin.

I guess I am jaded, but I deal in politics and Americans simply don’t fall in line with this. The polls seem to be getting even worse. Gallup is no longer what they used to be.
