Sharpton: Trump Is a ‘Symbol of Northern Bigotry’ Who Panders To ‘HATEFUL’ Americans

Just when you think there is hope that Al Sharpton will slink off into obscurity, he pops back up like a demented, race-baiting weasel. On MSNBC’s ‘Morning Joe’ this morning, Sharpton said President Trump was “a symbol of Northern bigotry.” Al Sharpton is one of the biggest bigots I have ever seen. For him to accuse Trump of that, a man at one time he pandered to and called a friend, is hypocritical in the extreme. Trump is “a symbol of Northern bigotry,” Sharpton said on a panel. “He has really prided himself in becoming something that plays to a small segment of America that’s hateful, that’s trying to go to the past.”

Sharpton said, “He never left the Queens way, he and his father were sued for racial discrimination for who they would rent apartments to. So when you read in The New York Times, him being quoted by two sources saying all Haitians have AIDS, Nigerians won’t go home to their huts if we let them in the country, it speaks of a man that we in New York knew at various times. Now, he and the White House has denied it, but it’s certainly not out of the character of what he has said and done. He led the fight that wanted to [give the] death penalty for five guys in Central Park that did this egregious despicable act of rape. They ended up not doing it. Many of us said it was questionable. He still said give them the death penalty. That’s who he is.”

There are sooo many lies in that statement, I don’t even know where to start. I don’t think I’ll bother.

And the shyster went on: “I think a lot of Americans look at Civil Rights and race relations in the South in the ’60s and miss New York in the ’80s where you had many, many incidents.” He added, “They get away with it because don’t want to talk about up North kind of problems and Trump symbolizes it. Trump is as much a symbol of Northern bigotry as you have others that were Southern.”

Sharpton remarked that during the first 11 months of this presidency, Trump has “done the opposite” of growing, adding that, “here’s a man that has taken the presidency and reduced to name-calling and reduced to trying to exorcise his grudges and vengeance.” The only time Trump has name-called is when he’s attacked. As far as grudges and vengeance, I have seen none of that. Al Sharpton is a racist and a radical violent one at that. That is why Barack Obama kept him so close. The man is just plain evil.

Before the discussion on race, the panel with Sharpton on it also touched on former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee’s tweet comparing Trump to former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill. “Churchill was hated by his own party, opposition party, and press. Feared by King as reckless, and despised for his bluntness. But unlike Neville Chamberlain, he didn’t retreat. We had a Chamberlain for 8 yrs; in @realDonaldTrump we have a Churchill,” Huckabee tweeted Tuesday afternoon.

Now, before we get into the hatred they have for Huckabee, I think his comparison is off as well. Trump is his own man, but he is certainly no Winston Churchill. Although I get Huckabee’s point that Trump does not give up or retreat. One commenter said, “Sure. Churchill served his country 55 years in parliament, 31 years as a minister and 9 as pm. He was present in 15 battles and received 14 medals of bravery. He was one of historys most gifted orators and won the Nobel Literature Prize for his writing. Totally same thing…” He has a point. But that doesn’t mean that Trump is not a great leader in his own way.

Sharpton laughed at Huckabee’s claim, which came after the former governor also tweeted that his followers should go out and see Darkest Hour, a new movie about Churchill. And they should, it is one of the greatest movies ever made in my opinion. “It’s an insult to Churchill, and it’s an insult to any of us that study history,” Sharpton said about the comparison. “[Trump] really is not trying to grow and be a president and do something historic.”

Sharpton has NEVER studied history unless it was racist history. While Huckabee’s comparison is inappropriate, Trump has proven himself a great leader, unlike Barack Obama and certainly unlike Al Sharpton. Trump is not a bigot and he appeals to those in this country who aren’t racist. That wouldn’t be Al Sharpton either.
