Hair testing shows a high prevalence of new psychoactive “Flakka” use among NYC Nightclub/Festival Attendees, coming from a March 30, 2017 release from NY University researcher Joseph J. Palamar.

Flakka has been associated with many episodes of erratic behavior and even death in Florida. This is what drugs do, especially a synthetic… So what is Flakka? (aka gravel) and why is it more dangerous than cocaine?

Scroll down for horrifying VIDEO:

flaka2Flakka is made from a compound called alpha-PVP, a chemical cousin of cathinone, the amphetamine-like drug found in bath salts. Here’s the worst part: While the active ingredient in bath salts was officially banned in 2011, its newer relative, alpha-PVP, was not.

That means it is legal in any state without its own ban. It goes by the name flakka. In some parts of the country, it is also called “gravel” because of its white crystal chunks that have been compared to aquarium gravel.

The man-made drug causes a high similar to cocaine. But like “bath salts,” a group of related synthetic drugs that were banned in 2012, flakka has the potential to be much more dangerous than cocaine.

What does it do?

Like cathinone, alpha-PVP is a type of stimulant, colloquially called an “upper.” Uppers are linked with feelings of euphoria, enhanced alertness and wakefulness, and increased movement — all symptoms that are similar to those experienced by people on other drugs like amphetamines or cocaine.

A small overdose of the drug, which can be smoked, injected, snorted or injected, can lead to a range of extreme symptoms: “excited delirium,” as experts call it, marked by violent behavior; spikes in body temperature (105 degrees and higher, Hall said); paranoia. Probably what has brought flakka the most attention is that it gives users what feels like the strength and fury of the Incredible Hulk.

Stay away from drugs! This lady is a perfect example!

Although a typical flakka high can last one to several hours, it is possible that the neurological effects can be permanent. Not only does the drug sit on neurons, it could also destroy them, Hall said. And because flakka, like bath salts, hang around in the brain for longer than cocaine, the extent of the destruction could be greater.

Some of it is funny – some not – but..

The Dangerous drug can give users an appearance of having super strength while also significantly heating up body temperature to more than 41 degrees. Other complications include elevated blood pressure as well as potentially causing a stroke or heart attack.

Flakka, alpha-PVP, is a synthetic cathinone drug, an amphetamine-like stimulant, that is similar to “bath salts” (not the kind you’d put in a tub). The drug first came onto the scene in the U.S. Florida in 2014, but there have been reports of the drug in other states since.

The drug is sold as white or pink crystals.

It can be eaten, snorted, injected, or vaporized in an e-cigarette or similar device, according to the DEA. The drug agency says that vaporizing can make it easier for the user to overdose as it hits the bloodstreams quicker than the other methods.

Hat tip: YouTube

While we are being funny… The Flipside with Michael Loftus makes fun of Joseph Clancy, outgoing head of the secret service. This is one of the funniest skits I have ever seen.

With Barack Obama out the door, maybe the Secret Service will finally get their act together! If not, Donald Trump will have to say, “You’re Fired!”

Hilarious! Watch:
