Yeah, we won’t truly investigate Hillary Clinton’s crimes, but we’ll sure go after the FBI for doing so. The Inspector General’s office of the Department of Justice announced today that there will be a broad investigation into the FBI’s probe into Hillary Clinton’s emails. With special emphasis on Director Comey. They are claiming that both Democrats and Republicans are calling for this and I would say this is not unexpected. When Comey only sort of did his job and didn’t go one way or the other, it was a certainty that everyone and their dog would eventually come after him. Sucks to be Comey.
At the heart of this whole thing is the butt hurt that is still ensuing on the left from Comey’s decision to send a letter to Congress stating that the bureau was reopening its case involving the Democratic nominee for president just days before the Nov. 8th election. The left has utterly convinced themselves it is one of the reasons Clinton lost. She lost because she was horrific and she sucked. But let’s not let facts get in the way of a political witch hunt here.
The government watchdog’s investigation will look into a broad range of conduct, including the timing of the FBI’s statements and whether any officials leaked information that was not intended to be made public, the Washington Post reported.
According to the inspector general’s statement, the investigation will include:
• Allegations that Department or FBI policies or procedures were not followed in connection
with, or in actions leading up to or related to, the FBI Director’s public announcement on
July 5, 2016, and the Director’s letters to Congress on October 28 and November 6, 2016,
and that certain underlying investigative decisions were based on improper considerations;
• Allegations that the FBI Deputy Director should have been recused from participating in
certain investigative matters;
• Allegations that the Department’s Assistant Attorney General for Legislative Affairs
improperly disclosed non-public information to the Clinton campaign and/or should have
been recused from participating in certain matters;
• Allegations that Department and FBI employees improperly disclosed non-public
• Allegations that decisions regarding the timing of the FBI’s release of certain Freedom of
Information Act (FOIA) documents on October 30 and November 1, 2016, and the use of a
Twitter account to publicize same, were influenced by improper considerations.
I find it endlessly fascinating that the DOJ will go after those that went after Clinton, but not after Clinton herself who violated the Espionage Act over and over and over again. So much for the rule of law. It has been utterly twisted and perverted by the Obama administration.
Hillary Clinton and the rest of the Democrats are convinced that FBI Director James Comey’s actions during the course of the campaign were the primary reason for Clinton’s stunning election night loss. Just like they are convinced the Russians helped Trump win. Neither are true and they are either in severe denial or are just dishonest brokers. Notice that we have eight days left in Obama’s reign and this suddenly ensues. I would bet as Attorney General Jeff Sessions comes in that things are really going to get hot. The rule of law will be imposed and these asshats are all going to have some ‘splainin’ to do.
