Welcome to The NFL, Sen. Obama, The Sequel...(Happy Monday Open Thread)

Senator Joe "Gaffe-o-matic" Biden flat-out nails this one. The world will be there to welcome Barack Obama as President. They'll welcome his @$$ to the jungle. Biden offered up some, sobering and realistic thoughts (and I mean that sincerely).

"Mark my words," the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. "It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We're about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don't remember anything else I said. Watch, we're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy."

"I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate," Biden said to Emerald City supporters, mentioning the Middle East and Russia as possibilities. "And he's gonna need help. And the kind of help he's gonna need is, he's gonna need you - not financially to help him - we're gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it's not gonna be apparent initially, it's not gonna be apparent that we're right."

I don't think Senator Biden was lying or posturing. When Joe Biden stops lying, I tend to get a wee bit concerned....(As a positive and optimistic sign, The Redskins did win 14-11!)

What a pleasant surprise in the midst of all the gloom and doom on Sunday.

Heck, I can’t believe that they beat the Redskins last week. They tried really hard to lose that one.

I think I can say, and say with pride, that we have legislatures that bring higher prices than any in the world. ~ Mark Twain

I must admit that seeing Barack get his biggest crowd ever on the banks of the Mississippi under my Arch makes me want to puke. The only saving grace is that I know many of those people came from just across the river and that place is nothing but a slum filled haven full of failed democrat policies. So I shouldn't have been surprised.
