She has a great story, more executive experience than The One and (believe it or not) Plugs, has cut her teeth battling the corrupt Republican establishment in Alaska (there's a reason Stevens cruised to a primary win and why Rep. Bridge-to-Nowhere may yet survive and it ain't because they're swell guys), etc.
Still I cannot help but think that such a pick smacks, in may ways both obvious and subtle, of 1984 - and we all know how that turned out for the "novelty" candidates.

Here's the deal, the gov. mansion is in Juneau, not Anchorage. However, the Alaska State Fair is very much in Anchorage and Sarah Palin is reported to be at the fair. So, on ecoudl surmise that she was indeed at the fair and is now in Ohio after a red-eye flight.
Do you really expect her spokeswoman to say she is on a flight to Ohio? Probably not.
Please God, please let it be her.
I'd pay big bucks to see David Axelrod's face when he hears that one.

One originated in Anchorage two days ago and landed in AZ. Then went from AZ to OHIO...Second plane originated on AK and flew straight to Ohio...Both planes met by SUVs to carry luggage...
