The Minority Report Gets A Facelift

Tagged:

As you can see TMR has made some changes. All of the same functions are still intact with a couple of new options, one being the ability to add a photo or avatar to your profile which will be posted with your comments. To add a photo or avatar click on "my account" then "edit" you'll see a "Picture" dialog box where you can upload an image to your liking (please remember our posting rules and keep it clean)

Our hope is to make the site a bit lighter and easier to view and interact with. The new look is obviously cleaner and simpler in appearance but like Neil said, that's not necessarily a bad thing!

We hope you like the new look and encourage you to post blogs and comments. If you're new to the site please register and join in... it's free and we don't send tons of email or share your info with anyone!

Our goal is to continue to improve and add to the site and your input is greatly appreciated so please let me know what you think in the comments section -- complements, complaints, suggestions...

By the way -- TMR is looking for a conservative video contributor to create, capture and post video for this site as well as our YouTube channel So if you're a video guru (or just play one on the internet) or you know someone who might be interested, please let us know.

I would still like to do something with the header maybe something like this behind our logo?

If you're seeing shades of gray, it's because you're not looking close enough to see the black and white dots.

...you've done a great job! We'll outsource that piece ;0)

I like the new look.

I have been remiss in creating content for TMR. The damn day job as usual! But the year is young!

...here and welcome it when your ready.

Wow, what a difference. One gripe: make the stars in the banner have the same gradient fill background as the rest of the banner, or make the entire logo differ from the gradient fill with a border.

Have the circular stars on the same gradient background and put "T" and "M" and "R" in red.

...see Neil's comment above Maybe you can help here? Did you get my email the other day about the header?

AEKowalski's picture

I don't know about an email about the header specifically but frankly the last two days have been a total whirlwind of emails here, so I might have missed it. Resend it to me.

Also give me a few hours tonight and I'll work on this one. I have the stars in vector format and I can make a couple of different versions.

If we ditch the blue field under the stars, then we lose any connection with the original logo we had left.

I'm too conservative to give that up, sorry. :-)

It isn't that this one looks bad, it's just that when I first saw it I thought it was a little odd to see the field of stars set apart from the rest of the gradient that way.

But I'll make a few versions, and send them to you and Steve, and let you folks hash it out. My ideas are just suggestions.

The gradient is actually the body background of the site that came with this theme (though slightly resized by me).

This is just an off the shelf theme slightly tweaked. Don't expect miracles overnight, heh.

Excellent job on the format. Looks good reads well, what else could anyone want. Well done!

Tracking parents to replies is visually impossible.

I'll have to work on that.

It's not like we've had to worry much about that in the past.

Very well done so far, though. :: tips hat ::
