1 - Bush vs. The World

Despite losing control of both houses of Congress, President George W. Bush won every battle against the Democrat majorities, most significantly including Iraq war funding, FISA and S-CHIP. He changed policy in Iraq, appears to have essentially defeated al Qaeda in Iraq and appears to be winning the battle to secure Iraq as a reliable ally in the war on terror. It appears that a meeting with Iran (together with our killing and capturing of many Iranian forces in Iraq) has persuaded them to let up on aiding and abetting the enemy in Iraq. Iran has threatened to destroy Israel and us. Iran has talked. We have Iran surrounded. Iranians regularly protest in large numbers in the streets against the government.

2 - France and Germany move to the Right

The media and the Dems say Bush isolated the US from the world. I guess they refer to Iran? The same France and Germany that opposed us on Iraq elect a Sarkozy with the nickname "The American" and a Merkel that visits Crawford.

3 - The Pope vs. Europe and Islam

The Pope explains to the secular left in Europe that it is Christianity that produced the environment of tolerance and reason they love. The Pope offends Muslims by accurately recounting its history of intolerance. They threaten to kill him, proving his point about the past, and his point that Christianity and reason are one and the same.

4 - Islamic intimidation of the Leftist world press

Threats of death to European cartoonists that dared to draw pictures of Mohammad achieve near total intimidation. Cartoonists return to making fun of Jesus and the press returns to claiming fundamentalist Christians are their greatest threat.

5 - Israel's bombing of Syria

Syria has been behaving ever since they proved that the Russian/Iranian/North Korean air defenses don't work.

6 - We the People defeat the Immigration bill

Thank you Rush.

7 - Economy threatened by oil prices/sub-prime credit crunch

The GOP should propose lowering federal taxes on gasoline and heating oil, razing the Capitol Building if there is one drop of oil under it that we can drill for, and overturning the energy bill Bush just signed.

8 - Republican's post-Katrina historic landslide gubernatorial victory in Louisiana

And the media loses another one.

9 - The return to pre-television openly (or obvious)partisan journalism

From 1776 and before and thru the late 40s, print and radio media were usually openly partisan. Most cities had a democrat and republican newspaper to choose from.

Television changed this. The restriction of the airways to three networks and the predomination of liberals employed by them gave them a monopoly. They pretended to be "objective" on the heels of the truly objective coverage of WWII which united the country.

Cable and Rush pulled back the curtain and revealed the leftist betrayal from Cronkite's Tet lie to Dan Rather's forged docs. The MSM gave up all pretense in the 2004 and 2006 elections. MSNBC has gone openly far left.
