Republicans must stop affirming "bad '08 environment" talk

Too many elected Republicans, Republican presidential nominees and Newt waste precious MSM air time nodding while "reporters" and "journalists" wax eloquent about what a "bad political environment" exists for Republicans, and how it is likely that Democrats will win in November 2008.

They seem not to understand history, how they can win over listeners by contrasting conservatism with liberalism, and how vapid and silly is "environment" talk.

Today is October 5, 2007. At this point in past political seasons we re-elected Jimmy Carter, and elected Presidents Mondale, Dukakis, Gore and Dean.

All we need do is quote the Democrat nominees to show the public the danger of placing them in power.

People don't like higher taxes, calling generals liars or taking off flag pins.

Let's remind people of Harkin's fake soldier lies.

Moreover, the real world environment we live in now, is one in which we are winning the Iraq War and the economy is booming. We must call silly by its name and get serious. This will require scoffing at story lines of tv shows and risking not getting invited back, even on FNC.

I'm sick of Republicans sucking up to the MSM.

Let's be it.

If I were on the MSM (which I am in my Charlotte Observer column) I would not waste ONE second of air time. I would advance the conservative agenda the whole time. Even Fox News drops the ball and gets caught up in the "environment." The latest example is when The Factor surrendered to Jesse.
