A 74-year old blind resident of South Attleboro has been threatened with a $48 fine and a lien on her property if she does not pay her overdue water bill. Eileen Wilbur has until Dec 10 to pay the overdue bill she owes....................1 cent.
City Collector Debora Marcoccio has been notified of the issue, and has defended the city's handling of the matter. The city, apparently has decided to stand firm on both the amount and the due date.
