Crooks, Liars, Thieves, and more war against Toyota

Evil never rests.

You may have missed it. It was in all the news, but perhaps you've been away -- to Mars or somewhere equally distant from the long reach of American media. So let me catch you up quickly:

Toyota, the world's leading auto manufacturer, is evil, greedy, hates Americans --especially children and minorities -- and clubs baby harp seals, pollutes streams where trout hatch their young, favors tax cuts for the wealthy, sponsors dog fighting, sells tainted dog food to the elderly from whom it withholds all medicines except viagra, and worst of all [gasp], the top Toyota executives all worship Dick Cheney. Some even have the elusive Dick Cheney baubleheads on their desks [yes, try and find one of those in stock somewhere].

But now for the rest of the story......

Announcing TMRTV's New Site: Upload Liberty & Site Update

Tagged: •

We have some great news about TMRTV and some not so great news about TMR’s move to WordPress… First the bad news.

We had a set back yesterday with the new theme I purchased (thanks Nessa for the generous donation!) turned out to have a bug the theme designer blamed on the current version of WP instead of his design, lame excuse whether he’s right or not, anyway moving this site is turning out to be a lot trickier than expected. We’re now going to have to find another theme and hire someone to move the data base and all that good stuff. long story short… It’s going to be awhile before we have the money and resources to do exactly what we want to do.

The plan is to do the move in two pieces, Doug (Stix) and I are going to get a more basic theme up and running in WPMU on our servers for the interim then , when we have the money and resources, we’ll update the theme and migrate to cloud servers and be done with it. ETA on the completed project is the end of March.

Now to the Good News, in fact let’s call it great news…

TMRTV is now it’s own site called Upload Liberty. This has been my plan for TMRTV from our inception but it just never seemed to materialize until now.

Upload Liberty will function much like the TMRTV category here. It will remain to be a repository for center-right political videos – created, captured, or found on the web.

Every uploaded video contains the URL and Embed Code, much like YouTube, so our hope is to get center-right contributors to post their original or captured video content and upload it here on a friendly site dedicated to center-right politics and defeating liberals. We also hope to feature campaign videos throughout this election cycle.

At Upload Liberty we hope to provide a home for those making great video’s like Victorious

We’re still putting the finishing touched on the site but I hope you’ll head on over, check it out, register for an account, and let us know what you think!

I want to personally thank all of our contributors and give a “HUGE Thank You” to our readers… without you none of this would be possible! We’re working hard to make this site more user friendly so please stick with us through this next couple of weeks, I promise it will be worth it.

TMR Turns 3 Years Old

Tagged:

Today is the 3 year blogiversary of The Minority Report Blog, It was February 1st 2007 that this little community blog was taken off of the free blogger platform, and it’s ugly green theme, and took it’s place as an official website.

Last year saw a lot of changes, most notably and regrettably, was the passing of my good friend David Hinz - creator of the Hinzsight Report and President / Editor in Chief of TMR. We added new front page contributors like Nessa, Amy Miller, Fred Maidment, Randy Streu, Susannah, and Michael Donnella AKA Black Conservative. We enjoyed praise from other bloggers and websites who linked to incredible work done by our front page contributors both old and new and we also became the official opinion site of 73wire.com.

Unfortunately, due to money constraints, our site which was scheduled to move to WordPress and get a much needed face-lift and security upgrades last summer was delayed.

Fortunately, we are in the beta test mode of the new WordPress MU site this week with a scheduled launch date next Monday February 7th 2010.

Along with the added security, the new site on WPMU will be extremely more user friendly, no more BBCode and easy to operate blogs and comment that foster a better user experience and ease of engagement that we hope will allow TMR to grow a bigger community and be a comfortable home for both new and experienced bloggers.

2010 is going to be a busy year for sites like TMR and we plan to bring you in-depth analysis of the election cycle, bills making their way through congress, the President and his policies, and the state of Conservatism and the Liberty Movement.

I want to personally thank everyone who’s made this blog a success… all the front page contributors, bloggers, commenter, constant readers, lurkers, and the community as a whole.

Please stick with us through our move, it may get a little bumpy, but I think the end result will by an improved blog, an improved community user experience, and great source of information and analysis for 2010 and beyond!!!

Take Back Boston! Send Steve to Boston to Cover the Brown Brigade

Last November I asked you to donate and help me go to NY-23 to cover what we saw as a very important race that wasn’t getting the coverage or attention it deserved and was wrought with bad decisions, misguided organizations and a liberal Republican who should have never been in the position she was in.

Although Doug Hoffman didn’t win the special election the coverage that Ali Akbar, Eric Odom, Robert Stacy McCain, and I were able to provide in depth coverage that exceeded our expectations… big time.

Tonight I’m once again asking for your help in sending me to cover another special election that has the potential of becoming a game changer on health care legislation if Scott Brown can win.

Eric Odom put it like this:

Announcing The Patriot Caucus

Patriot Caucus

Fellow Patriots,

In our last update, we mentioned a second part to our announcement about the next march on Washington being planned for April 15th (Tax Day Tea Party). Many of you sent enthusiastic emails and we’re excited to see so many folks already getting involved.

The second part of our announcement, however, is going to be much bigger, and much more important for the movement. But before I let the cat out of the bag, let me explain why we’re doing what we’re doing.

To borrow a line from Barrack Obama… “let me be clear.”
