Put down the Hasta, I'm a friendly, stupid

A fairly significant amount of time has been spent vetting our candidate’s positions on social issues and religion. This vertiginous display of opinion contains a mixed amount of parochial fanfaronade, sundry facts and the ever present issues du jour. Certainly, this is all a very fascinating part of the Presidential mise en scène, but frankly so is watching the annual migration of Sterna paradisea.

That is not to say you can’t count me along with believers opining that primaries are a contact sport requiring healthy portions of candidate flag waving and fisticuffs jacket holding. But when it approaches a level of inescapable visual entrapment or gratuitous opining and comment fencing, count me out. I am back to wondering how in Heavens name the Hyperolius viridiflavus ommatostictus changes sex. Maybe Hillary or Obama has the answer? Naah!

Some time ago I posted this article, as a response to the irritating and fulsome MSM reaction on Barrack H. Obama potentially entering the race for POTUS. It was found by one commenter to be a kick off of the “hit parade”, which he felt should not commence until we started cleaning our own house. Well, somehow I must have missed the meeting where it was decided we would use a flamethrower on each other. I supposed that is also when we agreed social or religious positions were a preeminent, singular determinant. Furthermore that single line consideration to whom the opposition might be was henceforth relegated to some type of anamnesis.

So if one wanted to give equal time to potential contenders against the entire field of Republicans, they could recall that Barack H. Obama didn’t believe that pre viable children deserved protection. exempli gratia;

Viability is the line that has been drawn by the Supreme Court to determine whether or not an abortion can or cannot take place. And if we’re placing a burden on the doctor that says you have to keep alive even a previable child as long as possible and give them as much medical attention as – as is necessary to try to keep the child alive, the we’re probably crossing the line in terms of unconstitutionality” Barrack Obama, During debate on Illinois SB1093

Then in Iowa, Obama said this on abortion;

“Now, this is one of those areas – again, I think it’s important to be honest – where I don’t think you’re ever going to get a complete agreement on this issue. If you believe that life begins at conception, then I can’t change your mind. I think there is a large agreement, for example, that late-term abortions are really problematic and there should be a regulation. And it should only happen in terms of the mother’s life or severe health consequences, so I think there is broad agreement on these issues.”

Actually, I don’t think there is Obama. In point of fact when there was a chance to save babies which were born alive, you demurred instead. Not enough? Well let’s try this on religion;

"Faith got hijacked, partly because of the so-called leaders of the Christian Right who've been all too eager to exploit what divides us at every opportunity. They've told Evangelical Christians that Democrats disrespect their values, dislike their church"

.

Oh those evil Evangelicals! Well at least Oprah likes him. But I am curious if these remarks by Obama’s “pastor” or the general philosophy will ever be disavowed;

”White America got their wake-up call after 9/11. White America and the Western world came to realize people of color had not gone away, faded in the woodwork, or just disappeared as the Great White West kept on its merry way of ignoring black concerns." Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr

Sheesh, and Romney is getting smoked for being a Mormon?

Get the point? I vote we sign the armistice now and regain sight of where the true challenges lie.

gardening tools concepts of laymen are crude. They think of all garden tools as trellises. They consider lawnmowers as a means to generate pocket money for children. This attitude needs to be changed. Everyone with a garden should go through the best garden tools guide. Using a garden hose is not equivalent to gardening.
