Once again proving he is a giant amongst the puny, self absorbed, American hating leftists in Congress and their 527 ilk such as MoveOn, General Petraeus responded yesterday to the fallacious and despicable attacks against him. Given the nature of his job, record on military affairs and reputation of the unit in which he serves you might think it would be hard, fast and lethal. However, not surprisingly for the General, it was intelligent, deliberate, measured and in pilot lingo; Shack!
First, the measured and intelligent. Citing Kipling;
Kipling’s poem, “If,” begins, “If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs and blaming it on you. …” It goes on to talk about the importance of trusting yourself when others doubt you and of maintaining your principles even when you’re hated, lied about and condemned.
Next, the strategic kill shot
“I disagree with the message of those who are exercising the 1st Amendment right that generations of soldiers have sought to preserve for Americans,” he said. “Some of it was just flat completely wrong, and the rest is at least more than arguable.”
I have cited the general's credentials in other posts. But if you have not read them, take the time to review how much more accomplished and patriotic he is than Hillary, Obama, Edwards, Reid and Durbin combined. I mention them and therefore somewhat degrade this post for one reason only. It is also important to keep in mind under our Constitution; the President is Commander in Chief of the armed forces. None of those defense establishment loathing cretins deserve to be anywhere near a military title or position of control. Besides, if they had any guts they would have picked a fight with the General after school; no doubt they had their mom’s pick them up, bunch a damn sissies.
