A friend in New Hampshire says - and I quite agree with her - that our kids are educated in a system that does not teach any critical awareness, thus the Palin/McCain ticket actually has a shot (excuse the gun reference) at being elected, unfortunately. A look beyond the mainstream media would suggest that Palin has 3 good things: 2 legs and an ability to lie. in her convention speech she said she sold the governor's plane on ebay, which is a lie; she listed it, but it did not sell. she said " I told them thanks but no thanks" to that bridge, but fact is, she supported it when she ran for governor, and changed position when it became popular to object to the bridge. Do we really need more guns and violence? If so, she's the gal, Annie Oakley for Pres. And how about those women who would vote Palin, on a spite-rebound because Hilary was not the nominee? Do they realize that, while Palin's teenage daughter has the right to choose if she is going to keep her pregnancy to term, their own daughters will no longer have any choice in such a matter, because women's gains of the past 40 years will disappear under Palin/McCain. And of course, there is the business of her belief that you should pray hard for homosexuality to go away. We should initiate critical awareness 101 in our schools, so that the obscene millions of dollars thrown at political media campaigns might at least be considered in an informed, thoughtful manner. This campaign is too important to be run on image and personality.

When I look past the MSM that you seem to believe is supporting Sarah Palin, I feel that you have been more even handed than most McCain opponents. At least you give her credit for having two good legs. Reading Andrew Sullivan at The Atlantic for 2 minutes would dispel your beliefs that Sarah Palin has somehow gotten a free ride.
And how about those women who would vote Palin, on a spite-rebound because Hilary was not the nominee?
How about them? The Democratic followers of Barack Obama who walked around in their "Bros before Hoes" T-shirts had nothing to do with that whatsoever. Their never the type of people that try and hold women back.
because women's gains of the past 40 years will disappear under Palin/McCain.
I again refer to the "Bros before Hoes" T-shirts. What is that you think you've actually gained in the last 40 years that you didn't already have when Barbara Jordan and JeNette Rankin were consistantly winnning re-election to the House and Senate respectively? Election 2008: Now, at long last, I really and truly believe the GOP can do this!
