So this is where everybody has been hanging out? I should have known. Quite an impressive crew you have on the board there, Steve. Some of my favorites.
Steve Foley suggested that I cross-post here a diary I wrote at RedState today , a diary that was not extremely well-received at RS, decrying Senator Coburn's swipe at Santorum's swipe at McCain - everybody follow all that? I'll be posting that one in a minute.
So I took it as an invitation to just walk in here, take my shoes off, and act like I live here. So for better or worse, I say, thanks for letting me come in. I'll mostly pick up after myself, and I'll certainly fetch my own beverages. only guests get their beverages brought to them. I am humbled and honored to be here.
I hope in future days to post my continuing series on Fred-headedness -- wel, there are only two so far. It's a study of conservatism, going down to definitions that start with Edmund Burke, travel through Alex Hamilton, Russell Kirk, Ronald Reagan, Barry Goldwater, and........Fred Thompson. It continues with study of the Constitution and the Founding Fathers' vision for a free and great America. From there it tackles the '3 legs of the conservative stool' -- in which I assert that ALL conservatism operates together -- with tensions, yes, but still under the same underlying principles.
I have no particularly special insight on all this. I've been studying at length, and I happily stand on the shoulders of those who came before me. I'm just hoping to put out there for easy reading (and discussion, bickering, and argument as needed) the things we all believe and adhere to as conservatives.
Anyway, carry on.....

Happy to have you here. Pull up a chair, grab a beverage and make yourself comfortable.
Cheers -
