The Obama Round-up (updated)

Tagged:

Steve has graciously given me a forum to post a running compilation of all things Obama. I'll give it a go starting Monday and post links to those jewels that don't always get the attention they should. I'll comment or highlight points I think are important or ones that we, as a coalition, should try to work to our advantage.

As a teaser, I give you this one-

Feminists sharply divided between Clinton, Obama

My favorite line out of the whole article is this one-

..."This pattern of old-style politics and adherence to un-feminist values is part and parcel of the campaign Hillary Clinton has run," Garfinkel wrote. "In this race, Barack Obama is the true feminist."...
Aw, his mama would be so proud.

I don't know that McCain can count on this group of disgruntled Hillary voters defecting to his side in large numbers. Many of them are poster children for the moonbat movement. I do see an opening among the white, rural women voters though. And every little bit helps. Especially if McCain can manage to get some airplay of a gracious praising of Hillary and the race she has run. At the end of the day, I think Johnny Mac genuinely does like and admire Hillary for what she brings to the table. I can not say the same for his feeling towards Obama.

Have at it.

Update:
For all the talk of Hillary being Barack's VP, I've always said it would never happen. Here is confirmation that I am right-

"WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Close-in supporters of Sen. Barack Obama's presidential campaign are convinced he never will offer the vice presidential nomination to Sen. Hillary Clinton for one overriding reason: Michelle Obama.

The Democratic front-runner's wife did not comment on other rival candidates for the party's nomination, but she has been sniping at Clinton since last summer. According to Obama sources, those public utterances do not reveal the extent of her hostility.

A footnote: Support is growing in Democratic ranks for Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland as vice president. He would bring to the ticket maturity (66 years old), experience (six terms in Congress) and moderation (rated "A" by the National Rifle Association). He is very popular in Ohio, a state Republicans must carry to elect a president."

As for Ted Strickland, I'm not sure he would bring much more than Obama already has. He might deliver Ohio, but I doubt he helps much elsewhere. And given Barack's absolute lack of knowledge of all things security, Strickland brings nothing for that. I say look for a Wes Clark former military type or Jim Webb of VA.
