A few new tech blog entries

Tagged:

In case anyone didn't know, I've recently posted a few tech blog entries to RedState detailing my experiences building a pair of workstations based on Windows Vista, Asus K8N-DL motherboards and so on and so forth. You can read them by clicking on the last three entries in my blog at RS.

I hope they've helped a few people, because these are really wonderful motherboards and AMD processors in Opteron configuration are *fast* (and *cheap!*).

Of course I'm saving the fully-detailed write-up with all the glossy pictures for TMR and HinzSight. In the meantime, you can read my adventures pushing these systems into the Vista century over at RS.

I'm very low-intensity on the tech-front complicated stuff. I want to avoid the endless viruses and problems I seem to get with Windows. I basically use my computer as a word processor & e-mail collector and don't need bells and whistles. What do you think about switching to an Apple MacBook?

Apple hardware is well designed and supported, and Apple software development is definitely on the right track. If you have room in the budget their stuff is a great buy.
